India Might Be Missing The Hydrogen Fuel Bus By Insisting On All Electric Vehicles By 2030

New Delhi: The Indian government is pulling out all the stops to endure that India becomes an all Electric Vehicle (EV) market by 2030.

This ambitious target was lauded by environmentalists and ordinary citizens alike.

“We are going to introduce electric vehicles in a very big way. We are going to make electric vehicles self- sufficient like Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA). The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country,” said Power Minister Piyush Goyal, while addressing the CII Annual Session 2017 in New Delhi.

New Delhi: Today our world is visually dominated by animals and plants, but this world would not have been possible without fungi, say University of Leeds scientists in Britain.

Plants serve as the base of most of the food chains on Earth and along with animals; they dominate almost every ecosystem on the planet. But new analysis suggests fungi were equally vital on early Earth.

The recent UK-based study has found that fungi were essential in the creation of an oxygen-rich atmosphere, without which life on Earth wouldn't be possible.

Anti-Smog Gun To Fight Pollution First Trial At Anand Vihar ISBT On Wed

New Delhi: To deal with haze during winters, the Delhi government is mulling over using anti-smog guns to bring down pollution level in the national capital, officials said. 

As per the plan, a trial run of anti-smog gun will be held at east Delhi's Anand Vihar ISBT on December 20. 

Environment Secretary Anil Kumar Singh today apprised Lt Governor Anil Baijal of the trial run of anti-smog gun in a meeting to review the detailed action plan of agencies and stakeholders on measures to combat air pollution.
