New Delhi:After the gangrape in Jewar of Bulandshahr district, news has come that two women were raped by their neighbours in two separate incidents the same area. Adding to the cases of crime against women being reported from Uttar Pradesh, two women were allegedly raped by their neighbours in the Jewar area in Greater Noida, police said. The incidents come after the murder of a man and rape of four women on the highway in the same area.

Modi to celebrate three years in office inaugurating bridge in Assam

Sensex gains over 150 points; Re climbs 22 paise against dollar

After a positive opening at the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange remained firm, and had jumped 219 points, or 0.7 per cent, to 30,521, a short while ago.
The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange had climbed 68 points, to 9,429.
And at the forex market, the rupee had strengthened a good 21 paise, to 64.52 against the dollar in afternoon deals.

Pak court allows 350 Indian fishermen to return home after conviction

All 350 Indian fishermen, who had strayed into Pakistan’s territorial waters and were convicted by a Pakistani court, will soon return to their home. The court ordered their repatriation after they entered a guilty plea.
When judicial magistrate Salman Amjad Siddiqui visited the district jail in Malir to indict 350 fishermen, detained since January 27, and read out the charges against them, all the fishermen pleaded guilty.
Taking a lenient view, the court convicted the fishermen for a period they have already spent in detention and directed the jail authorities to approach the department concerned to make arrangements for their repatriation.

Sensex recovers 123 points in fresh buying spree

BSE Sensex recovered about 123 points in early trade today. Fresh buying by investors, tracking a firm trend in other Asian stocks ensured the recovery. Short-covering of bets in the derivatives segment boosted the recovery. 
The 30-share index, lost 269.33 points in the previous two sessions, surged by 122.99 points, or 0.40 per cent, to 30,424.63.
FMCG, realty, IT, capital goods, consumer durables, banking, teck, oil and gas, auto, PSU and metal sectors were leading the rally.
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty was also trading higher by 34.15 points, or 0.36 per cent, at 9,394.70.
