Modi to celebrate three years in office inaugurating bridge in Assam

New Delhi:To enhance connectivity between the northeastern state of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, the nation’s longest ‘Dhola-Sadiya’ bridge will be inaugurated today in Assam by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister on Thursday mentioned in a series of tweets that he will be in Assam on Friday to take part in various programmes.
“The Dhola-Sadiya Bridge will be inaugurated tomorrow. This is one of the most important infrastructure projects in our nation.

I shall lay the foundation stone for two key projects- AIIMS & IARI. Both projects will quicken the development of Assam & the Northeast”, the tweet mentioned.
Today the Narendra Modi government completes its three years in office and the inauguration comes a  comes two days after Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal completes a year in office. Sonowal on Wednesday invited Narendra Modi to inaugurate India’s longest bridge in Assam. Built at a cost of Rs 2,056 crore, the 9.3km bridge will connect Dhola in Arunachal Pradesh to Sadiya in Assam.
