New Delhi: A Comptroller and Auditor General audit report has castigated the Indian Railways for serving food unfit for human.The report would be tabled in the Parliament on Friday.
It has observed that food articles unsuitable for human consumption, contaminated foodstuff, recycled foodstuff, packaged and bottled items past their shelf life and unauthorised brands of water bottles are offered for sale at stations.
The audit has found fault with frequent changes in catering policy of the railways that have created a state of uncertainty in management of catering services provided to the passengers.
New Delhi: Nasscom has said the IT sector would create 20-38% fewer jobs in financial year 2017-18 in comparison to the preceding year.
The industry would create 1.3-1.5 lakh new jobs (lateral plus campus) in FY18 while it had added 1.8 lakh jobs in FY17. At its peak, the sector added nearly 2.40 lakh jobs a year.
Nasscom president R Chandrashekhar said that while automation was leading to job loss, new ones too were being created. The Indian IT industry, which has been grappling with automation and digital needs of clients, has been reorganising its workforce to deal with automation and achieve cost savings.

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister SushmaSwaraj on Thursday said all countries support India's stand on the Doklam issue. Replying to supplementary questions during the Question Hour in the RajyaSabha, she said, if China unilaterally changes status-quo of tri-junction point between India, China and Bhutan, it poses a challenge to India's security.
She clarified that India-China-Bhutan are the participants at the tri-junction point and any unilateral misadventure by China will not be tolerated. She said the entire nation is united in condemning China’s activities.
