Film producer Ektaa Kapoor is back in India after attending the 51st International Emmy Awards in New York City. On Monday morning, she was snapped arriving at the Mumbai airport with her Emmy award. Ektaa was honoured with the International Emmy Directorate Award at the Emmys for her ‘trailblazing career and impact on the Indian television landscape’. 

Ektaa looked as happy as ever after paparazzi surrounded her upon reaching the airport terminal. She was in her casual look as she proudly held the golden award and showed it off. She posed with the Emmy award and smiled from ear to ear.

The latest TRP ratings witnessed a major drop in viewership in the shows. While Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav jumps to the second slot, Anupamaa gets pushed down to the fourth place.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been keeping up with the first position. Netizens are quite excited to see how Savi's love story will turn out with Reeva returning to Ishaan's life. The second position sees Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav take the slot. Shiv and Parvati's vivah has surely kept all the viewers glued to the screens.

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday summoned actor Prakash Raj for questioning in connection with a money laundering case, official sources said Thursday.

The case pertains to an alleged Rs 100 crore ponzi and fraud scheme by a Tiruchirapalli-based jewellery group.

According to a PTI report, ED conducted raids against Pranav Jewellers, a partnership firm based in Tiruchirapalli, and seized "unexplained" cash of Rs 23.70 lakh and some gold jewellery.

Pankaj Tripathi's thriller 'Kadak Singh' premiered ta IFFI 2023. The film is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and also stars Sanjana Sanghi and Parvathy Thiruvothu. The film follows the perplexing journey of AK Shrivastav (Tripathi) as he battles retrograde amnesia, uncovering a web of conflicting narratives from his past.

Producer Viraf Sarkari got candid with ETimes at IFFI and shared tidbits about the film.

How was Kadak Singh conceived?The germ of the story for this film came from me. Then it was developed in collaboration with screenwriter Ritesh Shah and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who has also directed the film. I thought about this idea twelve years ago. But I am not a professional scriptwriter so I wrote whatever I could write. Then I connected with Pooja Ladha Surti who is an acclaimed writer-editor and a dear friend. We started writing and then I got Tony (Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury) and Ritesh to jointly write. So, there was a strong force. Pooja moved on because she had a commitment to Andhadhun.

Comedian Vir Das became the first Indian comedian to bag the International Emmy for Comedy at the International Emmy Awards 2023. His series Vir Das: Landing won along with Derry Girls season 3 on Tuesday. Celebrating the victory, Vir took to his social media account and shared glimpses of his golden award. 

Dedicating the award, Vir Das wrote, “For India. For Indian comedy. Every breath, every word. Thank you to the @iemmys for this incredible honour.” Congratulatory messages are pouring in for him as many celebrities reacted to his post.
