After having a great start at the box office by minting Rs 44.5 crore on the first day of its release, things are not looking good for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. According to early estimates (posted at 10 pm) by trade website Sacnilk, the film is predicted to mint over Rs 17.81 crore on Thursday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 186.96 crore.
Following a 50 percent decline in collections on Wednesday, where it earned Rs 21.1 crore, many attributed the dip in Tiger 3’s box office figures to the India vs New Zealand World Cup semi-final match held on the same day. However, despite this excuse, the film is unlikely to display any signs of recuperation on Thursday, experiencing a further drop in its box office numbers.
Tiger 3 enjoyed a strong performance at the box office in its first three days of release. On the debut day, the film amassed Rs 44.5 crore, followed by a more impressive Rs 59.25 crore on the second day. Sustaining momentum, it garnered Rs 44.3 crore on the third day. However, the film encountered its first decline on the fourth day, collecting Rs 21.1 crore.
The lead actors of Tiger 3—Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi—recently expressed gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support. Salman shared his excitement over the audience’s response, stating, “I’m delighted with the response from audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide.”
