There is a Chinese proverb, “Tension is who you think you should be, relaxation is who you are.” To comprehend this, we need to first focus on ‘I’. Who am I? Maybe in your desired reality, you are a doctor, a popular singer, a talented architect, and someone who is in healthy relationships. But why can’t you see it now, in 3D? There is one big obstacle between reality and your desired reality. And that is your mind. We need to train our minds to create a balance between, ‘never sit for less’ and accept reality.
People who are spiritually well don not despise the current reality. They just don not take distress about it like other people, rather they focus on solving the problems because they see life as a journey and there are ups and downs. They have a firm connection with their inner self, they value themselves, they deserve the best and there has to be some process to get what they want, sometimes the process is hard to tackle but the harder it is, the sweeter the results are. They are not afraid to cry when they want to but at the same time, they also believe that short-term sorrow will provide them with long-term bliss. And most importantly they trust the Universe’s law, unlike the law of court, it can never fail in providing justice.
“Honesty is the best policy” is it? Not always, because making your subconscious believe who you are as what is the current reality is not honest but will serve your spiritual and mental wellbeing. It is because spiritual wellness uses the law of attraction to bring positivity and desires to our life. While this law can bring great things, it can also bring negativity and dismay. Because the law of attraction is not something few people exercise. We all manifest things all the time. So, one of the reasons our desired reality takes time to manifest is that we unconsciously attract what we do not want. The law of attraction says we do not attract what we want, we attract who we are. And for that, you need to know who you are. You are, who you think you are. Society plays a huge role in framing our ideas about ourselves. This is the reason, while subjectivity is a real thing, objectivity very well exists, whether it is food, beauty, or anything. You can change everything about yourself just by changing your thoughts about yourself. For example, if society calls you ugly 10 times, affirm to yourself that you are beautiful 100 times.
If you are hooked up till here, let us talk about, how to enhance your spiritual wellbeing. The first step is to seek the purpose of your life, people die without ever knowing their purpose. So, it has zero to do with your age, 17 is not too young to seek the purpose of life, and 60 is not too old for the same.
Secondly, even though there is no specific ritual to follow, practices like Yoga, meditation, speaking, writing or listening to affirmations, scripting your desired reality whether in a form of a movie script or a dear diary format, etc, visualizing, creating a vision board, being part of the activities you enjoy, writing gratitude letters/praying, vegetarian oriented diet, avoiding alcohol, spending time with optimistic people, listening to podcasts or reading books related to spiritual wellness, listening to frequencies, making time for yourself, etc are some of the efficacious practices that you can follow.
Some techniques popularised by different personalities throughout history can help you in your spiritual journey. For Example, Nikola Tesla’s secret code ‘369’, Neville Goddard’s law of assumption, the 17s method by Abraham Hicks, etc. Ever wondered why water is so significant in some religious rituals? At least 70 to 75 percent of our body contains water. Various research has proven that water is the best carrier of energy if you chant a mantra or say positive affirmations to it, the emotions get infused into the water.
There are endless ways to manifest, you can follow one of these or three of these, or you can experiment with your own method, it is up to you, as it is all about vibration and intention, but one thing, without which, our spiritual journey is vague is ‘gratitude’. Be grateful for what you have, be grateful for the food you are eating, the car you are driving, and the education you are getting. Writing gratitude letters is something people from all faith can do. You are a free spirit; you make your own decision. We do not ask questions and explanations about something we are asked to follow, and in the end, we follow it just for the sake of tradition.
Lastly, you cannot be spiritually well if you only care about yourself. Life is not about ‘me’, it is about ‘we’. If you want this world to offer you everything you want, you also need to deliver something back, because nothing that’s one-sided works. It includes helping other people when you can, donating money, respecting everyone, using your power to bring good changes in society, and complimenting people rather than being jealous, because you do not attract what you want, you attract who you are. If you are jealous, you will attract jealousy, furthermore.
