This world is considered as the masterpiece of nature. It is because if there is light in some parts of the world then there is darkness in the other parts of the world. If some parts of the world are receiving high rain then at the same time there are different parts of the world that are facing shortage of rains.

VOSTOK- ANTARCTICA

When we think about the coldest places in the world the first name strike is the Antarctica Region right? Yes, Vostok Station is a Russian Weather monitoring research station dating back to 1957 which was founded by the Soviet Union in the inland Princess Elizabeth Land, Antarctica. The warmest month is January were the mean average of temperature recorded is -25.8F but the coldest month is August where the lowest reliably measured natural temperature on Earth is −89.2 °C. Vostok is about 3488 meters above sea level where there is Lack of oxygen and very close to no moisture.
PLATEAU STATION- ANTARCTICA
Temperature recorded: -119.2°F (-83°C)
It is the second coldest place in the world after Vostok Antarctica. The station is an American research and Queen Maud Land traverse support base located on the central Antarctic Plateau, which was used until January 29, 1969, but it is currently inactive. The Coldest month is considered to be July where the least normally recorded temperature is -119.2°C. The Plateau Station in Antarctica is 11483ft above sea level. In winter it has a freezing average temperature of -57°C and the lowest recorded temperature was – 83°C. It is the most remote and coldest of any research station.
EISMITTE -GREENLAND
Temperature recorded: -85°F (-64.9°C)
Eismitte is also known as Ice Center in German. It is located on the interior Arctic side of Greenland. It is the place which is totally covered with ice everywhere so it is called as Mid-Ice or Center-Ice. It was the site of an Arctic Expedition in 1930’s at 3000 above sea level. The lowest temperature recorded of this place was −64.9 °C (−85 °F). As February is the coldest month in Greenland, an average temperature of this place is below -52°C. This area is known to be one of the coldest places in Northern Hemisphere.
EUREKA- CANADA
Temperature recorded: −1.8°F (−18.8°C)
This Place is also known as the “Garden spot of the Arctic” and the area is a polar desert. It was established in 1947 as the research base located on Ellesmere Island Qikiqtaaluk Region, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut which is used by researchers and nobody lives permanently here and eight staff work there on a rotation basis at particular times.
This is the place where there is no sunlight during the month October to February and no rains between October and May. Due to too low moisture in the air cannot evaporate and so one can find abundant plant life. This place is an ideal habitat for nesting birds and also for the wildlife such as oxen, foxes, and wolves roaming around.
DRAS- INDIA
Temperature recorded: (-60°C)
Popularly known as ‘The Gateway to Ladakh’, Dras is the coldest inhabited place in India and is one of the coldest inhabited place in the whole world (Siberia being the first). The first village after Zoji La pass; Dras is situated at a height of 10,990 feet above sea level. In the freezing winter, temperatures in Dras can drop to as low as -45 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature drop observed in Dras was during the winter of 1995, when the thermal reading fell to -60 degrees Celsius!
In winter, everything in Dras valley freezes – the rivers, the lakes, the mountains. The spectacular snow-covered town is cut off from the rest of the world.
