On the viral video about creating Khalistan, Anil Vij said that he has sent the video to DGP Haryana and asked him to take strict action.

He said that some mischievous elements want to disturb the peace of Haryana and Punjab. "Those who want to create obstacles in the growth of Haryana and Punjab, and want to spoil the situation here, will never be tolerated. Full action will be taken against such people," he added.

Home Minister Anil Vij noted with regret that wrestling and archery, two sports which earned Haryana many laurels in the past, have been excluded from the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

"The Commonwealth Games Federation should reconsider the matter and include these games in the competition," he said.
