Afghanistan Taliban fume over US violation of airspace, 'helpless' as planes, drones are hi tech

Afghanistan Taliban leaders have criticised and expressed anger over the United States for violating the airspace and said it was difficult for their government to defend the airspace of Afghanistan.

An Afghanistan military expert Asadullah Nadim said, the planes and drones that fly in the airspace of Afghanistan are from some “advanced countries” and “it is difficult for the Taliban government” to defend it.

The chief of staff of the Islamic Emirate, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, in a interview with RTA said: “Even though it was a term in the agreement, it has been violated many times, and even though the US side has been informed, it is violated many times.”

Russia arrests Wall Street Journal reporter for espionage

Russia’s top security agency says a reporter for the Wall Street Journal has been arrested on espionage charges.

The Federal Security Service (FSB), the top domestic security and counterintelligence agency that is the top successor agency to the Soviet era KGB, said Thursday that Evan Gershkovich was detained in the Ural Mountains city of Yekaterinburg while allegedly trying to obtain classified information.

Gershkovich is the first reporter for an American news outlet to be arrested on espionage charges in Russia since the Cold War. His arrest comes amid the bitter tensions between Moscow and Washington over the fighting in Ukraine.

Ajit Doval's "Respect Territorial Integrity" Jibe At China At Shanghai Group Meet

In an apparent swipe at China, India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval today emphasised on the need for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members to respect each other's territorial integrity.

In his opening remarks at the SCO-level NSA meeting in Delhi, Doval called upon states to have mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"The charter calls upon member states to have mutual respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity of states and inviolability of state borders, non-use of force or threat of its use in international relations and seeking no unilateral military superiority in adjacent areas," Doval said.

'Amritpal Singh in Nepal, Delhi has asked Kathmandu not to let him leave'

Fugitive Khalistan activist Amritpal Singh, who was apparently in hiding in Uttar Pradesh, has now escaped to Nepal, according to media reports in the neighbouring country which also said on Monday that New Delhi had requested authorities in Kathmandu to not allow him to escape to a third country.

In a letter sent to the department of consular services on Saturday, the Indian ambassy in Kathmandu requested government agencies to arrest the Waris Punjab De chief if he tries to flee Nepal, the Kathmandu Post newspaper reported. There was no confirmation or denial of the report by the Indian authorities.

Ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan Says, 'Taliban Will Not Respect Human Rights Until...'

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the Taliban will not respect human rights, including women`s right to education until they are recognised by the international community, Khaama Press reported. Imran Khan said that the Taliban should be made part of the international community and then the human rights and matters related to the education of girls should be discussed, Khaama Press reported citing Britain's Channel 4 interview.

"If you isolate them [Taliban], what influence are you going to have on them? If you mainstream and let them have a state, then talk about human rights. Right now, you push them on isolation; their money is frozen, so why would they listen to anyone?," Khaama Press quoted Imran Khan as saying in an interview with Channel 4.
