New Delhi: Union Environment Minister Dr Harshvardhan has developed a digital mobile application that has the power to bring and connect millions of people together on a single platform and can be used to bring a substantive change in our society as well as the world at large.
 
Launching the app on Wednesday, Harshvardhan said, “I sincerely believe that a well-designed app can generate great political engagement with citizens and manoeuvre their positive energies in the right direction. The digital connect can change the way people think and change the way they act, thereby changing the relationship between public representatives and citizens.”

 
“Recognising the massive impact that the digital connect can create and the quick manner in which it can transform societies, our Prime Minister had launched the Digital India movement. Later, he launched his App – Narendra Modi App – giving the people of the country a unique opportunity to establish direct contact with him,” Harshvardhan said and added, “Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister, I too decided to leverage this opportunity to connect with the digital world and engage better with the citizens and respond faster and faster. This, to my mind, is in fact the core of a democracy where the common man is able to freely and directly engage with the public representatives.”
 
The app has been designed as a two-way communication tool that allows citizens to send their suggestions, problems, feedback and issues directly through videos/text/photos to the Minister.  This feature gives him the facility to receive their communication round the clock and respond as fast as possible.  To meet the expectations of citizens, a quick redressal system has been set-up, through which he can take care of people’s issues and concerns.
