Rohit Sharma’s aggressive batting template has made things easy for the other batters in the ICC World Cup 2023.

The Men in Blue won all their nine games in the tournament and will face New Zealand in the semis at the Wankhede Stadium on November 15.

Rohit and Shubman Gill gave another flying start to the team against the Netherlands, adding 100 runs in the first powerplay overs.

Sharma hit 61 runs, with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes in Bengaluru.

India put up 410/4 on the board, with Shreyas Iyer (128) and KL Rahul (102) scoring centuries.

The Dutch were bowled out for 250 as India won the game by 160 runs.

Shoaib Malik lauded Rohit for his batting. “He beats all the bowlers of the rival team. Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Kane Williamson and Joe Root attack two or three bowlers but Rohit is different,” he said on ASports.

“We had a Arbi (Arabic) teacher and the students used to get up the moment he came to the class. Rohit is like that Arbi teacher. The rivals get up the moment he comes out to bat,” he added.
