he Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today filed a chargesheet against companies M/s IBM India Private Limited and M/s SAP India Private Limited, and former Air India chief Arvind Jadhav, among others, in connection with an alleged corruption case related to the procurement of software for the national airline in 2011.
The chargesheet has been filed under sections of criminal conspiracy and relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The alleged procedural irregularities in the software procurement, valued at Rs 225 crores, form the crux of the case. The legal proceedings are expected to shed light on the intricacies of the corruption allegations surrounding the procurement process that transpired more than a decade ago.
