Sent in to bat, Punjab posted 138 for 7, with Patel making an unbeaten 38 off just 17 balls.
In reply, Punjab bundled out Bangalore for 119 in 19 overs. Patel and Sandeep Sharma bagged 3 wickets each, while Mohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell took two apiece.
