New Delhi: RJD Chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti appeared before the Income Tax Department on Wednesday in connection with the over one thousand crore rupees benami property deals. Ms Bharti, who is a RajyaSabhaMP, and her husband were questioned by I-T officials for over five hours in New Delhi. 

It comes a day after the IT Department provisionally attached few immovable properties in Misa Bharti benami land deal case and tax evasion case allegedly involving family members of Lalu Prasad. 
A house and a piece of land in Delhi have been attached after the department issued a provisional order under the Benami Transactions Act.
