New Delhi:Given the snub from the British court, New Delhi is attempting to speed up the process of extradition of businessman Vijay Mallya. India has given a fresh set of papers to the UK in the extradition case, External Affairs Ministry spokesman GopalBaglay told reporters on Friday. He said in New Delhi that a fresh set of relevant papers was given to the British High Commission last week and sent soft copies, electronically, to Indian mission.

Mallya, who is wanted in India for his Kingfisher Airlines defaulting on loans worth nearly Rs 9,000 crore, has been in the UK since March last year. He was arrested by the Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant in April this year and released on conditional bail a few hours later.
