Pak back to usual ways, resorts to heavy firing along LoC in Poonch sector

New Delhi: All pretensions made by Pakistan of deescalating tension on border evaporated sooner than expected as in yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani army resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani troops targeted forward defence locations and civilian population last night. 

Defence sources said, Pakistani troops started shelling at Mankote, Balnoi, Nangi Tekri and surrounding areas of Krishna Ghati sector around 8.20 pm. Initially, Pakistan army violated ceasefire with small and heavy arms but later resorted to 82mm mortar shelling.

Indian Army responded effectively, leading to heavy exchange of firing and shelling that continued till about 11 PM. There is no report of any casualty or injury to the Indian side.
