New Delhi: Peace and calm returned in most of the farmer’s agitation affected areas including Mandsour and Neemuch. However prohibitory orders were imposed in Shajapur on Thursday after violent protests.

Prohibitory orders have also been imposed in Dewas. In Mandsour town, curfew was relaxed for two hours for women and children last evening. 

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed farmers to maintain peace. He said he will continue to work in the interest of farmers. 

Farmers are protesting since 1st of this month in the state especially in western Madhya Pradesh demanding higher crop price and debt relief. According to media reports, police are taking stern action against the anti-social elements and miscreants.
