23-yr-old Lava employee shot in parking of apartment block in Noida

New Delhi:In an incident which has created tremors across Noida, a 23-year-old woman software engineer was shot in the parking of her apartment block on Wednesday morning. The incident took place at Shatabdi Rail Vihar society in Noida, Sector 62.

Anjali Rathour, a resident of Yamunanagar and graduate from Lovely Professional University, was working at Lava Company in Sector 63. Police suspect her boyfriend may be behind the murder.She was rushed to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Rathour had joined work in June 2016.

Police said the victim shared her third floor flat with six other girls. A person, suspected to be her boyfriend, called her on phone in the morning. She opened the door and came to the ground floor where she was shot dead. The incident was captured on CCTV camera of the parking. One of her flat mates found her dead while leaving for tuition.

The room-mate alerted other friends and the victim was rushed to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. A police team accompanied by forensic experts reached at the spot for investigation.
