#Parliament Security Breach: 6 Arrested, 1 Absconding; All Accused Booked Under UAPA

After a dramatic day in Parliament when two intruders stormed the Lower House with colour canisters, initial probe by security agencies revealed the breach was well-coordinated and meticulously planned allegedly by seven people, six of whom have been nabbed. A hunt is on for the seventh person. 

According to sources, the accused knew each other for four years and hatched the plan a few days ago.

#Four Years After Historic SC Judgement, Ayodhya Ram Temple Ready to be Inaugurated

Three years after the foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the date for the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple has been scheduled on January 22, 2024.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has sent invitations to over 7,000 people, including around 3,000 VVIPs, 4,000 saints and seers from different parts of the country, delegates from 50 countries and family members of the ‘Kar Sevaks’ who were part of the Ram temple movement for the consecration ceremony.

#INDIA Parties Stage Walkout From RS Over 'Economic Blockade' Of Opposition-Ruled States

MPs from various parties of the INDIA bloc staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, alleging a "blockade" of funds to opposition-ruled states. The MPs from the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP), Janata Dal (United), DMK, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), among others, staged the walkout.

Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi celebrates Armed Forces Day

New Delhi : Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Thursday has celebrated the Armed Forces Day of Bangladesh with a vow to brightening the country’s positive image across the world and upholding the image of Bangladesh Armed Forces.

To celebrate this special occasion, the High Commission hosted a reception at Bangabandhu Hall of the Chancery. Lieutenant General VM Bhuvana Krishnan, AVSM, YSM Quartermaster General of Indian Army graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Director General of Border Security Force (BSF)Nitin Agarwal, ex-Chief of Army staff of Indian Army Gen Deepak Kapoor (retd) and many war veterans of Indian Armed Forces, diplomats of different countries and most of the Defence Advisers/Attaches based in Delhi attended the event.

#Mahua Moitra Expelled From Lok Sabha; Opposition Stands United Behind Her

Mahua Moitra of the Trinamool Congress was expelled on Friday from the Lok Sabha after the House adopted the report of its ethics committee that found her guilty of accepting gifts and illegal gratification from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to further his interest. The committee report found Moitra guilty of "unethical conduct" and contempt of the House by sharing her Lok Sabha credentials – user ID and password of Lok Sabha Member's Portal, with unauthorised persons which had an irrepressible impact on national security, Joshi said.

“The serious misdemeanours on the part of Smt Mahua Moitra calls for severe punishment. The Committee, therefore, recommend that Smt Mahua Moitra, MP may be expelled from the membership of the 17th Lok Sabha. In view of highly objectionable, unethical, heinous and criminal conduct of Smt. Mahua Moitra, the Committee recommend for an intense, legal, institutional inquiry by the Government of India in a time-bound manner,” the panel report said.
