The ruling Shiv Sena has become 'pseudo-secular' as a worker from that party has printed a calendar in Urdu in which founder Bal Thackeray is addressed as 'janab', Maharashtra BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday.

He was talking to reporters while campaigning for Kolhapur North Assembly bypoll scheduled for April 12.

"The Shiv Sena has become pseudo-secular. However, we are not against any religion or their beliefs," the former chief minister claimed.

At least 71 death row inmates in China had their vital organs removed, to be used for transplants, before they were officially declared dead, according to a study published in the American Journal of Transplantation.

The authors of the study, Australian PhD scholar Matthew Robertson and Dr Jacob Lavee, an Israeli cardiac transplant surgeon, identified 71 Chinese medical journal publications dated between 1980 and 2015 describing cases in which the removal of the heart appeared to be the cause of the prisoner’s death.

This violates the principle of ‘do no harm,’ a core value in medical ethics, according to the Hippocratic Oath.

On Saturday, the traffic on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway was disrupted for hours after a crane broke down leaving people at a standstill in the afternoon till late evening. 

As per the Gurgaon police, the jam was caused due to a heavy vehicle breaking down near the airport terminal 3. They said, "Today due to breakdown of a heavy-duty crane on NH48 in Delhi just before Airport Terminal 3 Exit, there was a major traffic congestion on NH 48 (Gurugram to Delhi side) since afternoon."

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Office's official Twitter account was hacked in the early hours of Saturday, April 9. After almost 4 hours, the account was partially restored and the tweets posted by the hackers after taking over the account were removed.

After the UP CMO official Twitter was taken over by hackers, more than a hundred tweets were made from the account. The hackers had also removed the Chief Minister's display picture from the Twitter handle.

However, Chief Minister Yogi started appearing on the Twitter handle's picture again.

In what is being called a “surgical strike” on the Aam Aadmi Party in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh, the outfit’s prominent leaders joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP chief JP Nadda and union minister and Member of Parliament from the state Anurag Thakur.

Sources said Thakur, who has been quite active in the state recently, was behind this defection of virtually the whole AAP local unit to the saffron camp.

In a late-night development, AAP’s Himachal Pradesh president Anoop Kesari, general secretary (organisation) Satish Thakur, and its Una president Iqbal Singh joined the BJP at Nadda’s residence in the national capital.
