New Delhi:India's latest communication satellite GSAT-17 has been successfully launched from Kourou in French Guiana Thursday morning. 
GSAT-17 with a lift-off mass of about 3,477 kg carries payloads in Normal C-band, Extended C-band and S-band to provide various communication services.

New Delhi: The bodies of at least 25 migrants who drowned trying to reach Europe were found near Tripoli on Wednesday. Some of the corpses were washed ashore on a beach near the Libyan capital, but most were on rocks off the suburb of Tajoura in a state of decomposition. 

New Delhi:Drug price regulator National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has announced provisional ceiling prices of 761 medicines, including anti-cancer, HIV, diabetes and antibiotic, with a majority being reduced ahead of the GST implementation.

New Delhi:The Centre has extended for six months the last date for applying for conversion of Person of Indian Origin, PIO, cards to Overseas Citizens of India, OCI, cards to 31st December this year.
Earlier, the facility was available till 30th June 2017. Home ministry officials said, this was for the fourth time the date for conversion ofPIO cards to OCI cards has been extended since 31st March 2016.
