Kejriwal Summoning DDCA Records To Delay Proceedings, Says Jaitley

New Delhi: Union Minister Arun Jaitley has opposed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea in the Delhi High Court seeking summoning of the minutes of meetings of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) held during 1999-2014. 

Kejriwal had moved the fresh plea in a pending defamation suit filed by the union minister against him and five other AamAadmi Party (AAP) leaders. In the case, MrJaitley has sought 10 crore rupees as damages from them for allegedly levelling defamatory allegations with regard to irregularities in DDCA during MrJaitley's tenure as its President.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Expands Cabinet, Old Colleagues Back In Team

NewDelhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday expanded his Cabinet by inducting 27 new ministers from his Janata Dal (United) and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy at a function at Raj Bhavan in Patna by Governor Keshri Nath Tripathi. The ministry was expanded a day after the new JD(U)-NDA government won the confidence vote in the Assembly.

Two SP, one BSP MLC Resign From UP Legislative Council

New Delhi: In Uttar Pradesh, in a jolt to Samajwadi party two of its MLCs Bukkal Nawab and Yashwant Singh on Saturday tendered their resignation from the Legislative Council amid the possibility of joining BJP in the state. 

One BSP MLC Jay Veer Singh also resigned from his membership of Upper house and one more MLC Madhukar Jaitely is also likely to resign. SP MLC and Rashtriya Shia Samaj founder Bukkal Nawab praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Abbasi To Be Interim Pak PM Till Shahbaz Gets Elected As MP

NewDelhi: Former petroleum minister and senior PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been elected as interim prime minister of Pakistan. Pakistani media said that the decision was taken during the party's consultative meeting on Saturday. Abbasi will run the government as interim prime minister until Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz is elected as member of parliament.

To keep its Gujarat MLAs safe, Congress flies them to Bengaluru

New Delhi: With its legislature party showing symtoms of falling like a house of cards in Gujarat, the Congress on Friday flew in a plane load of MLAs to Karnataka to protect itself from further poaching. With three more of its MLAs resigning from the Gujarat assembly, and threat of more MLAs leaving its ranks, a desperate Congress leadership dispatched the remaining MLAs to the party-ruled state.

According to reports from Bengaluru 46 party MLAs landed at Kempegowda airport late on Friday evening and were taken to a resort by Karnataka minister D K Shiva Kumar, who is considered to be good at managing such crisis like situations.
