New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday informed the Lok Sabha that the government has not fixed any time frame to complete the linking of Aadhaar with Permanent Account Number (PAN). 

Mr Jaitley said this in parliament while replying to a query whether the government has fixed any time frame to complete the linking of the 12-digit biometric Aadhaar with PAN.

As on June 28, there were over 25 crore PAN card holders in the country while Aadhaar has been issued to 111 crore people.

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka  will lead the American delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in Hyderabad from November 28 this year

This was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India and the US will co-host the event. He said the three-day event would aim to bring together entrepreneurs of the two countries.

"The Summit is a unique opportunity for bringing together entrepreneurs and start-ups with global leader," PM Modi tweeted.

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has met Governor N N Vohra and discussed legal challenges to Article 35A of the Constitution and several other issues.

She met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about her party s views and the discussions she had had with leaders of various political parties regarding the challenge to Article 35A.

Article 35A gives special status to the state and has been challenged in the Supreme Court. It empowers the Jammu and Kashmir legislature to define the state's "permanent residents" and their special rights and privileges.

New Delhi: Turkish authorities have detained a Russian national and suspected Islamic State group militant for allegedly planning a drone attack on US aircraft at Turkey's Incirlik air base. 

Renad Bakiev was detained in the southern city of Adana over suspicions that he plotted to crash an American aircraft or attack the Incirlik air base using a drone, Adana police said in a statement. 

Bakiev also intended to attack the local Alevi community in Adana city, the statement said. It said he was affiliated with IS and had previously traveled to Syria.
