#Rajasthan: 'Not Punjab Like Situation, Ashok Gehlot Has Support of Over 100 MLAs', Says Congress Observer

in DNDNews

The situation in Rajasthan is very different from the power tussle in Punjab, asserted state revenue minister Harish Chaudhary, who was appointed as an observer by the Congress high command during the recent leadership change in Chandigarh.

Claiming that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has the backing of more than hundred MLAs, Harish Chaudhary virtually ruled out a change in the leadership of the Congress in the desert state.

"The decision to change Chief Minister in Punjab was a historic one. A man from humble origins rose to assume the office of the Chief Minister in Punjab but the situation in Rajasthan is very different. Here, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has the support of more than 100 MLAs," he said.
