Two Hurriyat leaders summoned by NIA today

National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned two separatist leaders from Jammu and Kashmir to its headquarters in Delhi today. Those summoned are Farooq Ahmad Dar alias 'Bitta Karate' and Javed Ahmed Baba alias 'Gazi' of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. 
They have been summoned in connection with a case related to the funding of terror and subversive activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

US may ban laptop on all International flights

The US is considering laptop ban on all International flights. The country’s Homeland Security chief, John Kelly, said his department is considering banning laptop computers from the passenger cabins of all international flights to and from the United States. 
Speaking on a Television programme yesterday, He said terrorists are obsessed with the idea of knocking down an airplane in flight. 
Kelly said there are signs of a real threat against civilian aviation from carry-on electronic devices. The ban would expand an earlier order in March that affects about 50 flights per day to the United States from 10 cities, in the Middle East and North Africa.

Ransomware’s origin traced to southern China

A new analysis of the ransom note included with the global WannaCry Microsoft Windows malware hack earlier this month suggests that it may have originated in southern China. 
As reported by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), Flashpoint, a for-profit internet consultancy, claimed that a proprietary analysis of the language used in the ransom note attached to the WannaCry malware attacks indicates a southern China origin. 
Flashpoint, a US-based internet security consultancy, claimed that the ransom note was written by native Chinese-speakers with southern accents, from regions in or around the southern Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, or possibly Taiwan, according to the report.

Thanks to depression over Bay of Bengal, early Monsoon expected

New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has said that the onset of the southwest monsoon is likely to advance further due to a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to turn into a severe cyclonic storm. 

Talking to AIR, Director General of India Meteorological Department, KJ Ramesh said the deep depression would help in the advancement of monsoon over Kerala and northeast India. He said, the deep depression is likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by tonight and cross Chittagong by Monday.

A shaken Hizb may go for a ‘moderate’ commander in Valley

New Delhi: Shaken by gunning down of its two commanders in quick succession, the HizbulMujahideen may appoint appointRiyazNaikoo, a 'moderate' terrorist, whatever that would been, as its new boss in Kashmir valley. Last week its commander SabzarBhat was gunned down in encounter with the security foces. Bhat's elimination came in quick succession after the the killing of BurhanWani, who was killed last year.

RiyazNaikoo, at 29 is the oldest surviving terrorist of the outfit. Naikoo had invited Kashmiri Pandits to return to the valley a few months ago.
