New Delhi: Met Department has issued severe weather warning for West Bengal, Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts forecasting heavy to very heavy rain.
Fisherman have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea today and tomorrow. Heavy rain occurred at a few places in Odisha today. Met department has forecast heavy rains in the state tomorrow as well.
New Delhi: The BJP Parliamentary Board is likely to announce the NDA candidate for the Vice-Presidential election on Monday. The last day for nomination is Tuesday.

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said advancing the Budget by a month helped increase overall expenditure by nearly 30%, with a 48% rise in spending on infrastructure development.
While thanking lawmakers during an all party meeting for their support for historic economic reforms such as bringing the Budget session of Parliament forward and introduction of the goods and services tax (GST), Modi said higher spending was a huge achievement and would bring fiscal prudence in capital expenditure in future.
New Delhi:Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is “analysing” evidence against Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav before taking a decision on his appeal.
Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that Gen Bajwa was “analysing the evidence against Jadhav. The Army chief will decide on Jadhav’s appeal on merit.”
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief on the death of former Chief Minister of Sikkim Nar Bahadur Bhandari. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, his contribution towards Sikkim’s progress will always be remembered.
Nar Bahadur Bhandari, one of the longest-serving chief ministers of Sikkim, died on Sunday state at a hospital in Delhi.
Bhandari, a three-term chief minister, was 77. He is survived by wife Dil Kumari Bhandari, a former MP, two daughters and a son.
