Paytm back on Play Store hours after Google removed the app

Paytm is back on the Play Store hours after the app was taken down for violating policies on gambling. Earlier today, Google removed the Paytm app from the Play Store while other apps like Paytm for Business, Paytm mall, Paytm Money, and a few more were still available on the platform.

Commenting on the matter Paytm issued an official statement and said Google suspended the app as it violated Play Store policies on gambling. “We continue to work with Google to restore the app. We assure all our users that their balances and linked accounts are 100 per cent safe. Our services are fully functional on all existing apps and you can continue enjoying Paytm like before,” the company said.

Google prohibits online casinos and other unregulated gambling apps on its play store. Even fantasy sports platforms like Dream 11 are kept out. The tech giant also reveals that an app that leads consumers to an external site that allows them to participate in paid tournaments to real money clearly violates Play Store policies.

Huawei Mate 40 launch delayed to 2021, suggests leakster

On September 10, Huawei unveiled new EMUI 11 and HarmonyOS 2.0 software, as well as new devices, including the FreeBuds Pro, Freelace Pro, Watch GT 2 Pro, Watch Fit, and new MateBooks. However, there was no sign of its next high-end smartphone, Huawei Mate 40, or the flagship Kirin SoC. Huawei has still not announced the Huawei Mate 40 series smartphones’ official launch date, but it seems to be a matter of time. We expect the devices to debut in October. However, it is said that they may not be sold soon, even a few months after the presentation.

Previously, there was information that during the IFA 2020 fair, Huawei would present the new flagship HiSilicon Kirin processor, which will go to the Huawei Mate 40 series smartphones. There were chances that during its presentation, the manufacturer will officially announce the premiere of new smartphones from the Mate family. However, the latest HiSilicon Kirin processor was not shown at the IFA 2020 conference. Thus Huawei did not mention anything about the Huawei series Mate 40.

Zoom introduces two-factor authentication to improve security for users

Zoom Video Communications has introduced a two-factor authentication (2FA) to secure users and prevent security breaches on the platform.

Users will be required to provide two or more pieces of credentials that authenticate their ownership of the account. For example, something the user knows (a password or pin), something the user owns (a smart card or mobile device), or something the user has (fingerprints, voice).

"Implementing 2FA helps organizations meet compliance obligations for sensitive data and customer information. For small businesses and schools, it can be expensive to pay for an SSO service. Zoom’s 2FA provides a free and effective way to validate users and protect against security breaches," the company said in a statement on September 10.
