In-form South Africa team will take on Bangladesh in match no. 23 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday. The Proteas will be full of confidence after hammering defending world champions England by massive 229 runs at the same venue last week.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, are struggling in the middle of the table with just 1 win over Afghanistan in their 4 matches so far. They will be buoyed by the return of their talismanic skipper Shakib al Hasan, who appears to have recovered from a left quadriceps injury, but need to get back to winning ways if they hope to reach the semifinals stage.

India kept their winning streak intact in the 2023 World Cup but ended New Zealand's with a comprehensive victory in Dharamshala on Sunday. This was also India's first win against New Zealand in any ICC event in 20 years. India are now on top of the points table, having won all their five matches so far in the tournament while New Zealand, who have four out of five, slipped to No.2. 

The Indian victory was scripted by Virat Kohli and a stunning spell from Mohammed Shami, who became the first Indian bowler to pick more than five-wicket haul in ODI World Cups. Shami played in Dharamshala only because ace all-rounder Hardik Pandya had injured his ankle during the match against Bangladesh and India needed to balance his absence by leaving out Shardul Thakur and bringing in Suryakumar Yadav.

Australia defeated Pakistan in a run-fest at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Friday. 

David Warner slammed 163 off 124 while Mitchell Marsh hit 121 off 108 to help Australia post 367 for 9 in 50 overs after getting an invitation to bat. 

Virat Kohli, India's superstar batter, once again showcased his immense prowess by smashing his 48th century in ODIs during the 2023 World Cup match against Bangladesh. As India appeared well on their way to a fourth consecutive victory in the tournament, one could sense Kohli's mindset shifting, as he set his sights on that magical three-figure mark. After all, Kohli had paced his innings to near-perfection – as he has done all through his career – since arriving at the crease in the 13th over of the game.

Following Netherlands' stunner against South Africa on Tuesday in Dharamsala, Team India remains among the only two teams, New Zealand being the other, to not have lost a match yet in the 2023 World Cup. The host nation has made a brilliant start to the tournament winning three of their first three games - against Australia, Afghanistan and arch-rivals Pakistan. The three victories have put India atop in the present points table, separated by New Zealand only by a superior net run rate.
