It was a pleasant surprise for IPL fans when they saw Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s children, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, showing up as proxy to represent their father at Saturday’s IPL auction. 

Shah Rukh Khan co-owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. His actor-friend Juhi Chawla, a co-owner of the team, had her daughter Jhanvi Mehta fill in for her at the event.

While fans couldn't be happier to see the 'young' ones taking the lead at the auctions, Juhi Chawla was a proud mother and aunt as she welcomed the 'young owners.'

Virat Kohli continues to struggle with the bat in the ODIs as his stay at the crease in the third and last match of the series was cut short by West Indies. 

Kohli was out for a duck in the third ODI. In the last 2 ODIs, he has scored 8 and 18. The duck in this innings reflects the bad patch that he is going through. 

Soon after he got out on 0, twitter exploded with tweets of support and criticism. 

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in the third ODI against West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday.

Former India captain Virat Kohli did not perform with his bat in the 2nd ODI against West Indies but he took an extra ordinary catch while fielding to help his side gain momentum in a very crucial situation of the match. 

India posted a low total of 237 runs in the second one dayer in Ahmedabad and pressure was on the bowling attack of India to take team out of trouble.

Team India's tight fielding and extra-ordinary bowling from the youngsters Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammad Siraj and man of the match Prasidh Krishna guided them to seal the 3-match ODI series 2-0.

KL Rahul was not a happy man on his return to the Indian side after a short break against West Indies in the second ODI at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi stadium. This was due to a mid-pitch confusion with partner Suryakumar Yadav which caused Rahul to get run out.

India were reeling at 43/3 when Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav were in the middle and they slowly and steadily helped India regain a footing in the match. When the duo looked like they would cement the partnership and help India muster a good total, Rahul fell.

Back in the late 1980’s when four-time Asian Games gold medallist and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Praveen Kumar Sobti was cast as Bhim in the BR Chopra-epic Mahabharat, the six feet and five inches tall former Indian Discus and hammer thrower would call fellow athlete and former Indian athletics coach Bahadur Singh multiple times. “Praveen would say that we will get to see him on TV every week for long and sounded very excited. In 2020, when Mahabharat was re-run by Doordarshan during the lockdown, we again saw all the episodes and would share a laugh,” remembers Singh. On Thursday, 74-year-old Praveen Kumar breathed his last at his Delhi home and his demise meant that India lost a Track & Field star, who ruled Asia in Throws back in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
