‘Glad you weren’t retained’ RCB fans fume at ‘ungrateful’ Sundar for showing true colours

in SPORTS

All the franchises have gone through several changes ahead of IPL 2022. The eight existing teams were only allowed to retain a maximum of four players which made it difficult for them to get hold of all their star players.

Given the auction dynamics, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also had to part with talented players like Devdutt Padikkal, KS Bharat, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, among others.

Sundar, who missed the second half of the season last year due to a finger injury, was bought by SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), for a whopping Rs 8.75 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction last month.

IPL 2022: Rajasthan Royals' Jimmy Neesham slams new IPL rule, gets schooled by India fans in return

in SPORTS

The 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) will see a number of new rules coming into force.

One of them is this: A new batter will have to take strike even if the player who was dismissed had crossed over before the catch was taken.

This rule has been backed by the lawmakers of cricket, who are Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). The MCC has introduced this rule in international cricket and it will come into effect from October 2022.

IPL, however, will enforce this rule in its upcoming edition.
