Former India opener Virender Sehwag recalled an unusual experience when his teammate, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, took him out for dinner during India's tour of Australia in 2003-2004. Sehwag claimed that Sachin took him to a Japanese restaurant and made him try Sushi for the first time. In a recent interaction with popular TV host Gaurav Kapur on Breakfast With Champions, Sehwag said," He (Sachin Tendulkar) took me out when we were in Australia in 2003-04 and he said we'll have Sushi. I said, 'What is this Sushi?'. He told me we were going to a Japanese restaurant. I wondered what the food would be. He said everything would be there. I was expecting dal, roti, and all."

The season had a befitting conclusion on Monday with a nail-biting final between the Gujrat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, which saw the men in yellow win the big game on the last ball to register their fifth title of the league.

Cricket Association of Bengal president Snehashish Ganguly has urged the Gujarat Cricket Association to use Eden Gardens-styled full covers after rain dealyed play for two and a half hours in the Reserve Day of the Indian Premier League 2023 Final on Monday, 29 May. 

Originally scheduled to be hosted on 28 May, Sunday, the match first was postponed by a day due to non stop rain-fall in the match hours and then was delayed further on May 29. 

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya paid his tribute to MS Dhoni, who lifted the trophy after Chennai Super Kings' win in IPL 2023 final on Monday in Ahmedabad. The swashbuckling all-rounder stated that he never minds losing to Dhoni and expressed his happiness for the former Indian captain.

Pandya, who captained the Titans to the title victory last year by beating the Rajasthan Royals, had the opportunity to lift the title again. They also amassed 214 after CSK put them to bat first. However, a rain-interrupted break meant the Super Kings needed 171 off 15 overs and Ravindra Jadeja took them over the line in the final delivery of the innings.

There is good news ahead of the Reserve Day in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final to be played on Monday, May 29 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Earlier on Monday, the forecast showed that there is a 40-50 chance of rain from 4 pm to 6 pm, which could have led to a short delay in the start of the game. But that has changed over the last few hours.
