Court orders filing of criminal defamation case against state BJP chief, Shivraj Singh Chouhan

A special MP/MLA court in Jabalpur has ordered registration of a criminal defamation case against former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma and ex-minister Bhupendra Singh on a petition by Congress’ Rajya Sabha member Vivek Tankha.

In her order on Saturday, Judicial Magistrate First Class Vishveshwari Mishra, directed for the registration of a defamation suit after prima facie finding sufficient evidence for trial, petitioner’s counsel HS Chhabra told PTI.

Google is tracking even in incognito mode, new disclaimer is up

Google has finally admitted that it tracks your search history, activities, the websites you visit and the services they use even in Incognito mode. Following the search engine's agreement to settle a $5 billion USD privacy lawsuit that accused it of tracking users illegally in incognito mode, it has now updated the disclaimer to reflect the transparency. In its Canary version (Early-access version which allows users and developers to test new features and updates before they are rolled out for everyone), Google now states that data will still be collected even in Incognito mode.

'Aisa hota rehta hai': PM tells Siddaramaiah as crowd chants 'Modi, Modi',

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated Boeing's new global engineering and technology centre campus in Bengaluru. The event, which was also attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, saw the crowd cheering for the Prime Minister with 'Modi Modi' slogans.

"Mukhyamantri ji, aisa hota rehta hai (respected Chief Minister, this keeps happening)," PM Modi told Siddaramaiah on stage as people kept chanting his name.

Indian CEO of US tech company dies in stage mishap

The US-based Indian CEO and founder of a multinational software company died and its president was grievously injured when an iron cage contraption carrying them collapsed during a corporate event at Ramoji Film City (RFC) Thursday night. The accident occurred during the silver jubilee celebrations of Vistex Asia-Pacific Private Ltd.

Illinois-based CEO Sanjay Shah, 56, died of his injuries in a hospital here while the company’s president, Vishwanath Raju Datla, is battling for his life.

Vistex had booked rooms for its staff at RFC and was planning to hold the silver jubilee celebrations over two days. “Shah and Raju being lowered from the cage onto the dais was a planned event to kickstart the celebrations,” a company official said.

PM Modi dedicates 15,000 houses to beneficiaries, lays AMRUT projects’ foundation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a ceremony at Kumbhari in Maharashtra’s Solapur district on Friday handed over keys of 15,000 homes in RAY Nagar housing society to the beneficiaries in the unorganised sector.

He also dedicated 90,000 houses built under Prime Minister Awas Yojna (Urban) and urged the people to celebrate the Ram temple inauguration on January 22 by lightning Ram Jyoti in their homes.
