A 23-year-old man allegedly raped a woman when he went to deliver groceries at her house at a residential complex in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida, police said. The incident took place on Friday, October 27.

Sumit Singh, the accused who has been arrested, was assigned for delivery by the grocery-delivery mobile app that the woman used to place her order.

ED arrests Bengal minister Jyotipriya Mallick in alleged ration scam

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday arrested West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress leader Jyotipriya Mallick a day after the central probe agency carried out searches at his residence in Kolkata's Salt Lake in connection with allged multi-crore ration distribution scam in the state.

“West Bengal minister Jyotipriya Mallick has been arrested by ED in connection with an alleged case of corruption in rationing distribution,” the probe agency said in a statement.
