Nitish Kumar blames Congress for delay in Lok Sabha Election preparations

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumra on Thursday hit out at the Congress. Kumar alleged that the Congress is not showing interest in preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre. The Bihar CM also blamed the grand old party for the delay in conducting the next meeting of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc.

The Bihar CM made these remarks while addressing the Communist Party of India’s “Bhajapa Hatao – Desh Bachao” rally in Patna. Kumar stated that the opposition bloc is working to assign Congres the lead in the bloc.

During his address on Wednesday, the minister highlighted Portuguese contribution towards closer India ties with the European Union (EU) and also shared the transformation underway in India. He was joined by his Portuguese counterpart, Joao Gomes Cravinho, at the latest interaction in Lisbon. "Addressed the Indian Community in Portugal. Maratha Quota Stir: ‘Will quit drinking water from this evening if…', Activist Jarange

Activist Manoj Jarange on Wednesday reiterated that he will stop drinking water from this evening if his demand for reservation to the Maratha community is not fulfilled by the Maharashtra government, according to a report published by the news agency PTI. 

"Leaders of all parties who are in Mumbai should ask the state government to call a special session of the state assembly and declare Maratha reservation. If this is not done, I will quit drinking water from Wednesday evening. The agitation will not stop and will continue peacefully," Jarange said.

Policeman of Jammu and Kashmir Police was killed by terrorists in Baramulla

A policeman of Jammu and Kashmir Police was killed by terrorists in Baramulla on Tuesday. Head constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar was fired upon by terrorists outside his home at Kralpora in the Pattan area of Baramulla. He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Sub-District Hospital in Tangmarg.

The entire area has been cordoned off, and a large-scale search operation is underway to track down the perpetrators, police said.

Jet Airways' Properties Worth ₹ 538 Crore Seized In Money Laundering Case

Properties worth over ₹ 500 crore have been seized by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged money laundering case linked to Jet Airways (India) Ltd.

The properties include 17 residential flats, bungalows, and commercial buildings registered under the names of companies and people, including Jet Airways' founder Naresh Goyal, wife Anita Goyal and son Nivaan Goyal in London, Dubai, and some states in India.
