ED summons TMC's Abhishek Banerjee on Nov 9

Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament, Abhishek Banerjee, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear before them on November 9. This summons is related to his alleged involvement in a school jobs scam, as confirmed by a TMC leader.

Abhishek Banerjee is scheduled to appear before the ED on Thursday. The announcement was made by Shashi Panja, the Women and Child Welfare Minister of West Bengal and a spokesperson for the Trinamool Congress. She claimed that this summons is part of what the party perceives as "vendetta politics" against their national general secretary. She further alleged that the BJP employs such tactics to "harass" leaders, particularly in the lead-up to the crucial elections early next year.
