This is despite of the unseasonal rains in the national capital in the past day. The AQI in Anand Vihar stood at 282, RK Puram at 220 and ITO at 263. The Supreme Court on Friday pulled up Punjab on crop fires management and said “speed comes after we intervene year after year only”. Delhi Police Cracks Down On Polluting Trucks At Ghazipur, Tikri Borders Amid Pollution Crisis

As Delhi grapples with the worst air quality in the country, the Delhi police have stepped up their vigilance on the trucks carrying non-essential goods at the Ghazipur and Tikri borders on Friday night. This is in accordance with the GRAP 4 regulations, which are the most stringent anti-pollution measures in the Centre’s action plan. Under these regulations, only CNG, electric, and BS VI-compliant vehicles from other states can enter Delhi, with some exceptions for essential services.

The police teams at the Ghazipur and Tikri borders were seen checking the trucks for compliance and allowing only CNG and electric trucks to pass through. The city witnessed a slight improvement in the air quality on Friday, thanks to some unexpected rainfall.

Unfair': Trinamool Slams Lok Sabha Ethics Panel's Report On Mahua Moitra - Inventiva

Trinamool slams Lok Sabha ethics panel's report on Mahua Moitra, 'Unfair'

Trinamool Congress (TMC) spokesperson and West Bengal minister Shashi Panja on Thursday slammed the Lok Sabha ethics panel's 500-page report on TMC MP Mahua Moitra recommending her expulsion from the lower house of the Parliament, calling it “unfair” and “unethical”.

“Today the Ethics Committee meeting was convened…It is unfair that the report was to be tabled in the meeting and then was supposed to be debated and there was going to be voting on it, but the report was out in the public domain even before it was tabled... If there is going to be an investigation then how a committee is going ahead with a recommendation? This not in tune at all,” the TMC spokesperson told news agency ANI.
