Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Will Be Out Of Jail Again, Granted 21-Day Furlough

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a jail term for raping two women, will be out of jail for 21 days. He has been serving a sentence in Rohtak's Sunaria jail since August 2017.

Earlier in January, Ram Rahim walked out on parole, which was the fourth time from Sunaria jail in Haryana’s Rohtak district. At that time, he was out for 40 days and spent his parole at his dera in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district.

Major 'breakthrough' in Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operation; DRDO sends robots

In a major breakthrough, agencies working round the clock to rescue the 41 workers trapped inside a partially collapsed tunnel in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district, have installed a six-inch pipe into the debris. This pipe will help the authorities to provide solid food items to the trapped workers and ensure better communication. Anshu Mansish Khalkho, director, NHIDCL, told the media that rescue workers were able to communicate with the workers through the newly installed pipe.

Flights stopped at Imphal airport for 3 hours after unidentified object spotted

The operations of the normal flights to and from the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Manipur’s capital Imphal were affected for several hours on Sunday after an unidentified object was seen hovering in the sky.

The object was sighted around 2.30pm by security personnel stationed in the airport. An alert was sounded and operations stopped for nearly three hours which affected three outbound flights and two flights bound for Imphal got diverted, officials said, requesting anonymity.

Cong promises LPG cylinder for Rs 400 each to BPL families in Rajasthan

The Congress has promised that if it comes to power in the state, the LPG cylinder will be provided to not only Ujjawala beneficiaries but also to 1.05 cr BPL families, which are getting government ration shops, at the rate of Rs 400 each.

Addressing a poll rally at Nawalgarh-Khetri constituencies in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan Chief Minister said that presently Ujjawala beneficiaries are getting LPG cylinder at Rs 500 each, and the government, if repeated in the polls, will slash its price to Rs 400 per beneficiary of BPL receiving ration from the government shops.
