Maharashtra: BJP Leader Slapped by NCP Workers for Post Against Party Chief Sharad Pawar

BJP leader from Maharashtra, Vinayak Ambekar, was assaulted on Sunday by NCP workers for allegedly writing a post against veteran politician Sharad Pawar. The whole incident was recorded on camera.

Ambekar is a spokesperson for the Maharashtra BJP. He was slapped in the middle of an argument by NCP workers for posting comments against Pawar.

Condemning the incident, state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil shared a video of the incident on Twitter. “Maharashtra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Pvt. Vinayak Ambekar has been attacked by NCP goons and on behalf of BJP, I strongly condemn this attack. These NCP goons must be dealt with immediately!” tweeted Patil in Marathi.

Bombay High Court grants bail to accused saying kissing, fondling not unnatural

The Bombay High Court has observed that kissing on lips and fondling are not unnatural offences under section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, and granted bail to a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor boy.

In a recent order, Justice Anuja Prabhudessai granted bail to the man, arrested last year following a police complaint filed by the 14-year-old boy’s father.

As per the FIR, the boy’s father found some money missing from their cupboard. The boy told him that he had given the money to the accused person. The minor said he used to visit the accused person’s shop at a suburb in Mumbai for recharging an online game, ‘Ola Party,’ which he used to play.

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan walks out of jail day after arrest over demolition drive protest

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan walked out of Tihar Jail in New Delhi on Friday night. He was arrested by the Delhi Police the previous day over a protest against the anti-encroachment drive in Delhi's Madanpur Khadar.

He was granted bail by a local court earlier in the da on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan was arrested by the Delhi Police on Thursday night after a clash broke out between protesters and the police during a demolition drive in Delhi's Madanpur Khadar earlier in the day. Five others were also arrested.

PM Narendra Modi condoles demise of UAE's Prez Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, govt declares one-day state mourning

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (May 11) expressed grief over the passing away of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, calling him a great statesman and visionary leader under whom India-UAE relations prospered.

"United Arab Emirates' President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan died on Friday. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the GoI has decided that there will be one day's state mourning tomorrow throughout India, " said the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

"The National Flag will be flown at half-mast on the day of mourning throughout India on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day," said MHA

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Kashmiri Pandit's killing, Hanuman Chalisa, loudspeaker rows, says it won't resolve

A day after a Kashmiri Pandit government employee was killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Friday (May 13) said reciting Hanuman Chalisa or switching off loudspeakers will not tackle the "atmosphere of instability" in the Valley, ANI reported. Talking to reporters in Maharashtra's Mumbai, the Shiv Sena MP said, "Don't raise fingers at Pakistan time and again, what are we doing for the Kashmiri Pandits? Even after the revocation of Article 370, they are not safe and are not able to return to the Valley. Now the common people are not safe, it has no more remained limited to the Pandits."
