IAS officer Tina Dabi to take charge as Collector in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer

IAS officer Tina Dabi, the first SC woman to have topped the IAS examination, will be taking charge as the Collector of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, 33 IAS officers, including seven district collectors, and 16 IPS officers, comprising three Inspector General of Police and district SP each, were transferred in Rajasthan on Monday. Apart from this, five Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers were given additional charge of some other posts as the department of personnel transferred the officers through three different orders on Monday.

Shinde-Fadnavis govt may fall in six months, be ready for mid-term polls: Sharad Pawar tells NCP MLAs

Days after the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government took the charge of the office, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday hinted at the mid-term assembly poll in Maharashtra as all is not well in the new government due to unrest among the legislators from the treasury benches. Pawar at the meeting with the party legislators asked them to pay more attention to their respective constituencies and gear up for the mid-term election. NCP insiders indicated that the mid-term poll may take place by end of December with Gujarat or early next year with Karnataka.

2 Lashkar terrorists, including ex-BJP member, arrested in Reasi

Registering a major success, the J&K Police with active support of villagers arrested two most-wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, including the mastermind of Rajouri district twin blasts Talib Hussain Shah, who turned out to be the former IT & Social Media incharge of BJP Minority Mocha (Jammu Province) and also an anchor of a news portal, along with a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a remote area of Reasi district on Sunday. In the Rajouri twin blasts, which were triggered in March and April this year, four people were grievously injured.

Additional director general of police (ADGP)-Jammu Mukesh Singh said, “Villagers of Tukson Dhok showed extreme courage in helping the police apprehend two most-wanted Lashkar terrorists, who had reached that area to take shelter after continuous pressure from the police and the Army. Apart from Talib, the other terrorist has been identified as Faisal Ahmed Dar of Pulwama.”

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on 5-day visit to Darjeeling

The GTA elections have just concluded. Now the wind is blowing in the hills in favour of Anit Thapa group. In this situation, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval suddenly visited Darjeeling. He reportedly landed at Bagdogra airport on Saturday and left for Makaibari in Kurseong.There has been a lot of excitement around his visit in the hills. However, a section of the political circles in the hills say Ajit Doval is accompanied by his family. So this trip can be personal. However, there is still no official word on Doval's visit. He was received by Darjeeling MLA Niraj Zimba at Bagdogra airport on Saturday. 

According to sources, Ajit Doval is on a five-day visit to the hills. However, it is not yet known whether his visit is private or official. Even the political circles in the hills are in the dark about the administrative programme of the National Security Advisor. But suddenly there has been speculation around the National Security Advisor's visit to the hills.
