Ahead of SCO meet, differences emerge in readouts of Modi-Putin phone call on Wagner mutiny

Days after the Kremlin and India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued distinctly different readouts of a telephonic call that took place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on 30 June, the latter will speak to world leaders including the Indian PM and Chinese President Xi Jinping Tuesday, at a summit virtually hosted by India.

This will be Putin’s first multilateral summit attendance since Russia was rocked by a mutiny last month.

TCS sacked six employees, banned six staffing firms in recruitment bribe case: N Chandrasekaran

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) banned around six employees and six business associate (BA) firms or staffing firms in relation to the recruitment bribe case, said chairman N Chandrasekaran, addressing several reports and shareholder queries on the issue that came up during the IT services major’s annual general meeting (AGM) on June 29.

This was the first time that the senior-most executive from the company openly spoke about the entire investigation process in the case and the way forward, coming after nearly a week of discussions and speculations on the case.

Consumer Commission Orders ₹ 11.65 Cr Refund To Buyer As World One No More The Tallest Building

The National Consumer Commission has directed a refund of ₹ 11.65 crore with interest to a flat buyer who booked a flat in 'World One', Lower Parel after it was no longer the world's tallest building. 

World One being the tallest building was the sole criteria for the buyer to book the expensive flat in it.

However, when it was not going to be the tallest, the buyer stopped paying further installments even though his booked flat was on the 38th floor. He sought possession with 117 floors constructed with all permissions in place from authorities along with delayed compensation or refund with 18 percent interest.
