Total to invest USD 300 mn in Adani's green energy projects

TotalEnergies SE will invest USD 300 million in a new clean energy joint venture with the Adani Group, marking the French energy giant's first public deal since a US short-seller levelled fraud allegations against Gautam Adani's business empire.

Total will hold a 50 per cent stake in the new joint venture firm, with Adani Green Energy Ltd holding the rest, the two firms said in a statement.

The joint venture will hold a portfolio of 1,050 MW, including 300 MW of already operational capacity, 500 MW under construction and 250 MW under-development assets with a blend of solar and wind power.

Adani-Hindenburg matter: Petitioner alleges 'conflict of interest' in court-appointed panel

A new petition filed in the top Court has alleged that the court-monitored committee to probe allegations of stock manipulation against the Adani Group in the Hindenburg report also has a conflict of interest.

The petition also urged the Supreme Court to constitute a fresh expert committee with experts from the field of finance, law and stock market with impeccable integrity, and who have no conflict of interest in the outcome of the instant matter.

Air fare to rise as govt refuses to allocate Go First’s international flying rights

A court imposed moratorium on Go First’s international flying rights is stopping Indian airlines to deploy more flights on popular routes. This is likely to cause a spike in airfare during the upcoming festive and winter season, airline executives have warned.

Flying rights are allocated on a bilateral reciprocal basis by the government to airlines of their country. Airlines cannot operate more flights than they are allotted. Before filing for bankruptcy, Go First had obtained flying rights on lucrative international destinations like Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Oman.
