New Delhi: Suspended AamAdmi Party leader Kapil Mishra on Friday accused party chief and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of indulging in corruption by entering into hawal transactions.
Briefing media through digital presentation, Mishra said that AAP has committed a funding scandal as four firms that donated  Rs 2 crore don't exist.

Saudi citizenship for preacher ZakirNaik

New Delhi:King Salman has granted Saudi citizenship to Dr Zakir Naik. Media reports from Middle East  said he had intervened to grant Dr Naik Saudi citizenship to protect him from arrest by the International Police Organisation, Interpol.

An Indian court had issued a second arrest warrant against Dr Naik asserting him in a terror-related case and over money laundering allegations.

Election Commission will hold a live demo of Electronic Voting Machines, EVMs, and VVPATs tomorrow. The Commission will also hold a press conference on EVM Challenge. 
Last week, the poll body had formally thrown a challenge to political parties to prove EVMs used in the recent assembly polls were tampered-with, after several Opposition parties questioned their reliability and demanded going back to the paper ballot system.

Landslides halt ChardhamYatra in Uttarakhand, pilgrims stuck

New Delhi: In Uttarakhand, Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway has been blocked due to landslide near Vishnuprayag in Chamoli district on Friday evening. 
Border Road Oorganisation personnel have been pressed into service to clear the debris. According to BRO,  road will be cleared by Saturday afternoon. District Administration has adviced Char-Dham pilgrims to stay at safer places.

Justice Karnan’s lawyers approach Prez for suspension of SC order

The lawyers representing Calcutta High Court judge CS Karnan have claimed that a representation has been made to the President seeking suspension of the Supreme Court order sentencing him to six months imprisonment for contempt of court. 
The lawyers said a representation under Article 72 of the Constitution was sent through e-mail on behalf of Justice Karnan seeking suspension of his sentence imposed by a seven-judge bench headed by Chief Justice JS Khehar.
