Modi envisages Asia-Africa corridor for Africa’s development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for creation of Asia-Africa growth corridor for development of Africa. India, he said is working with the US and Japan to support development in Africa. 
The Prime Minister was inaugurating the 52nd Annual Meeting of African Development Bank (AfDB) at Gadhinagar in Gujarat today. 
Modi said our aim is that India must be an engine of growth as well as an example in climate friendly development in the years to come.

Stop supporting terrorism: Trump to Iran

US President Donald Trump said that there was a "rare opportunity" to bring peace to the Middle East as he denounced Iran for supporting "terrorists" and vowed Tehran will never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
Speaking at the Ben-Gurion International Airport in Israel today Trump said I have found new reasons for hope, but we can only get there by working together.Trump who arrived in Tel Aviv from Riyadh in what is believed to be the first direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Trump on what he called a "truly historic" visit .

Modi all praise for African countries for response to the solar alliance initiative

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised African countries for their response to the solar alliance initiative that was taken during the UN Conference on Climate Change. From 1996 to 2016 Africa accounted for nearly one fifth of India's overseas investment. It doubled in the last five years to reach nearly 72 billion US dollars in 2014-15, he pointed out. 
The Prime Minister was inaugurating the 52nd Annual Meeting of African Development Bank (AfDB) today at Mahatma Mandir in Gadhinagar Gujarat. He said India's partnership with Africa is based on a model of cooperation which is responsive to the needs of African countries.

20 arrested for Jharkhand lynching

Twenty people have been arrested in connection in Jharkhand with last week's lynching of seven persons on suspicion of being child kidnappers. 
State Home Secretary SKG Rahate said yesterday that a probe has been ordered into the two incidents of vigilantism that claimed four lives in Rajnagar in Seraikela-Kharswan district and three lives in Nagadih in Jamshedpur. 
Rahate told the media in Ranchi that social media sites are being monitored and a WhatsApp group admin has been questioned. The report of the probe, to be conducted by the Kolhan division commissioner and DIG, would be submitted within a month, he said, adding that an FIR has also been lodged.
