Lok Sabha Speaker Leads Parliamentary Delegation to Mauritius

New Delhi:  Lok Sabha Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan is leading an Indian Parliamentary Delegation to Mauritius from 6 to 10 June 2017. The Delegation includes Lok Sabha Members Sushil Kumar Singh, Bhairon Prasad Mishra, Dhananjay Bhimrao Mahadik, Neelam Sonker, K. K. Ragesh and Ripun Bora, all members of Parliament and Anoop Mishra, Secretary-General, Lok Sabha.
Joint Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat Prabhat Chandra Koul is the Secretary to the Delegation.

SC to hear today Bihar liquor manufacturers plea to dispose off stock

New Delhi: Liquor manufacturers from Bihar on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking a clarification on its May 29 order granting time till July 31 to dispose old stocks of alcoholic beverages worth over Rs 200 crore outside the state.
A vacation bench of justices Ashok Bhushan and Deepak Gupta said that it would hear the matter on Wednesday after senior lawyer Salman Khurshid, representing the liquor manufacturers, mentioned the matter before it.

Retired judges as NyayMitras to resolve more than a decade old cases

New Delhi: Government will appoint NyayaMitras across the country to expedite the cases pending for last 10 years in lower courts. 
Addressing a function at Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court to inaugurate the Tele Law Service through Common Service Centerson Tuesday, Union Law and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that retired judges will be appointed as NyayaMitras to expedite over seven lakh fifty thousand cases pending across the country.

Lalu’s daughter Misa issued fresh summons by I-T in land deals case

New Delhi:The Income Tax Department has issued fresh summons to RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter MisaBharti in connection with its probe in 1,000 crore rupees alleged benami land deals and tax evasion case.
Bharti was supposed to appear before the investigating officer of the case today but officials said she failedto keep the date. She has now been asked to appear on 12th of this month.
