A day after skipping the summons to appear before the Enforcement Directorate for the third time, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged government wanted to arrest him and prevent him from campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing the media through a digital press briefing, Kejriwal said the summons sent to him was aimed at attacking his honesty and defame him and that there had been no corruption in implementation of the excise policy.

Delhi ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj raised alarm late on Wednesday night claiming they had information that ED would raid Kejriwal's residence on Thursday morning and then Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to be arrested. "News coming in that ED is going to raid @ArvindKejriwal’s residence tmrw morning. Arrest likely," Atishi tweeted at 11.50pm on Wednesday. Two minutes later, Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj posted the same thing in Hindi, "Got to know ED will be reaching Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's house tomorrow morning and is likely to arrest him."

#Bharat Nyay Yatra: Rahul Gandhi Likely To Spend A Week Each In Gujarat And UP

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to start his Bharat Nyay Yatra on 14 January and may spend nearly a week in BJP-ruled states of Gujarat and UP, highlighting their political significance, according to a report by a National Daily.

According to two leaders who are involved in the planning the march, requesting anonymity told HT that Gandhi may spend almost a week in each of these states during the yatra.

“Both UP and Gujarat will be given prominence during the yatra. The Bharat Jodo Yatra didn’t touch Gujarat and spent just three days in UP. This time, we might spend 6-7 days both in UP and Gujarat," one of them told to an English daily.
