#Modi in US: Elon Musk Says Tesla To Come To India 'As Soon As Possible'

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said the electric carmaker will be in India "as soon as humanly possible".

His comments followed a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a state visit to the US.

The Indian government said it had invited Musk to explore investment opportunities in electric mobility and the commercial space sector.

Musk said he was "trying to figure out the right timing" to make that happen.

Asessions court here rejected a discharge application of former director general of police (DGP) RB Sreekumar who is accused of using fabricated evidence to frame "innocent people" and defame Gujarat in connection with the 2002 post-Godhra riots.

The court of additional sessions judge AR Patel said in its order on Monday that it is of the view that prima facie there is enough evidence to indict the accused, and the prosecution should be given an opportunity to present evidence against him.

#Titanic Tourist Submersible Goes Missing With Search Under Way

A submersible used to take people to view the wreck of the Titanic has gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean. The Boston Coastguard told BBC News that a search and rescue operation was under way off the coast of Newfoundland.

It is unclear how many people were on board when it went missing.

Small submersibles occasionally take paying tourists and experts to view the wreck of the Titanic, some 3,800m (12,500ft) beneath the ocean surface.

#Cyclone Biparjoy: Bridges Swept Away, Over 100 Houses Damaged In Landslides In Sikkim

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has deployed its ships and aircraft for the assessment of damage caused to the Gujarat coast due to Cyclone Biparjoy, the maritime agency said on June 18.

There is so far no report of any adrift boats/objects, it said.

The cyclone made landfall near Jakhau on Kutch coast in Gujarat on Thursday evening, felling trees and electric poles and damaging houses.

#Biparjoy: More Than 200 Teams Deployed In Gir Forest, Kutch For Wildlife Emergencies

The Gujarat government had deployed more than 200 teams in Gir forest and Kutch district to respond to emergencies related to Asiatic lions and other wildlife during the landfall of cyclone Biparjoy, an official said on Friday.

One of the teams rescued two lion cubs that had fallen into an open well in Jasadhar Range of Gir East division during the cyclone’s landfall on Thursday evening, the official said. Of the 210 teams formed by the state forest fepartment, 184 were deployed in the Gir Forest and surrounding regions, comprising nine divisions of Junagadh wildlife and territorial circle, a government release stated.
