#Govt Failed To Control Manipur Ethnic Strife; PM Shows 'Brazen Indifference': Oppn Bloc INDIA

Stating that the government machinery has completely failed to control the Manipur ethnic conflict, which is lingering for nearly three months, opposition bloc INDIA on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his "silence", showing "brazen indifference" to the ongoing situation in the northeastern state.

In a memorandum submitted to Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey, the 21 opposition MPs who signed the document demanded urgent rehabilitation and resettlement of the affected people to bring peace and harmony to the state.

The unified opposition alliance INDIA remained unwavering in their demand for a comprehensive discussion on the Manipur situation in the upper House. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar abruptly adjourned the House proceedings for the day following a heated exchange with TMC leader Derek O'Brien.

#PM Modi To Attend Meetings With NDA Leaders From July 31 To August 10

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has planned to meet all the MPs of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in various groups between July 31 and August 10 in a bid to strategise for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Meetings will take place in two parts, first at 6:30 pm, and another at 7:30 pm.

The NDA meetings will start from Monday (July 31), starting with the MPs from Uttar Pradesh at 6:30 pm.

This meeting will include MPs from West UP, Braj, Kanpur, and Bundelkhand. BJP President JP Nadda and Nitin Gadkari will also be present during this session, which will be hosted by Sanjeev Balyan and BL Verma.

#Lok Sabha: Speaker Om Birla Accepts Opposition's No-Confidence Motion Against Modi Govt

Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Wednesday accepted the no-confidence motion moved against the Centre by Opposition – Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A).

On behalf of INDIA’s grouping, the motion was brought to the House by  Congress’s Lok Sabha Deputy and North east leader Gaurav Gogoi.

“I will discuss with the leaders of all parties and inform of you of an appropriate time to take this up for discussion,” the Lok Sabha Speaker said.

#LS Polls: Talks On Between BJP And JD(S) To Unite, But Cong Will Win 15-20 Seats In K'taka, Says Siddaramaiah

Claiming that BJP and JD(S) are holding discussions to unitedly fight the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday asserted that whether they join hands or not, the Congress will certainly win 15-20 seats in the state. There are 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.

There has been some speculation about the possibility of JD(S) joining the NDA ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

"I don't know, they are holding discussions. If they unite, there is no need for us to worry. Even if they unite or not, we (Congress) will certainly win 15-20 seats (Lok Sabha) this time in Karnataka," Siddaramaiah said in response to a question about the possibility of BJP and JD(S) uniting for Lok Sabha polls.
