Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19. While the actress hasn't posted any update about this, according to reports, she tested Covid positive on Tuesday (May 4). She is currently with her family in Bangalore.

Earlier in the day, Deepika's father and ace badminton player Prakash Padukone, was hospitalised after experiencing prolonged fever. He, his wife and younger daughter Anisha are also Covid positive. Now, even Deepika has tested positive according to reports.

Global sensation Priyanka Chopra has been quite active in raising awareness and raising funds for the worsening COVID-19 crisis in India. Recently, the actress took to her Instagram to amplify her Bollywood colleague and humanitarian Sonu Sood's new appeal to the government. 

She also penned down a caption praising the actor's humanitarian deeds in times of a crisis and called him a 'visionary philanthropist'. She urged her fans to ponder upon the issue and try to do whatever they can in their capacity to help children who've lost their parents due to COVID-19.

Actor Anushka Sharma on Sunday released a video on Instagram to thank fans for the birthday wishes she had received. She also said why she did not celebrate her birthday. Anushka turned 33 on Saturday.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who often makes headlines for her strong opinions, has once again taken to Instagram to make charged statements on the COVID-19 crises in India. 

In the video, the actress is seen slamming journalists and netizens who have been lambasting India on international news segments for its COVID-19 crises. She claims this has completely tarnished India's image. She was speaking as a TV anchor Rohit Sardana succumbed to Covid on Friday.

Randhir Kapoor hospitalised after testing COVID-19 positive

Bollywood actor-filmmaker Randhir Kapoor has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalised, authorities at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital confirmed on Thursday.

"Veteran actor Shri Randhir Kapoor is admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital Mumbai for COVID-19 treatment last night. His condition remains stable," Dr Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, said in a statement.

The 74-year-old, who is the father of actresses Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, and is married to actress Babita, has lately been in the news after Bombay High Court asked him and his sister Rima Jain to submit the divorce decree of their brother, late Rajiv Kapoor, in a property-related case.
