Shilpa Shetty and her husband have been in the limelight for the past couple of days. As you all already know, the businessman has been accused of producing and distributing porn content and has been arrested. He was earlier sent into judicial custody till July 23, but later, the court has extended his custody till July 27. On Friday, a Crime Branch team raided the couple's Juhu bungalow for further investigation in this case. At this time, the actress's statements were also recorded by the police. In fact, Raj Kundra was also taken to his residence when the raid took place. It was then that Shilpa and Raj had an argument, and the actress broke down in front of the cops. 

After arresting her husband and businessman Raj Kundra in a case of alleged production and distribution of pornographic films through apps, Mumbai Police on Friday recorded the statement of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, an official said.

Shetty's statement was recorded at her house in suburban Juhu in the afternoon, he said.

The crime branch of Mumbai Police also conducted a search of the house and seized a laptop, the official added.

As Shetty was a director of Viaan Industries, Kundra's firm, the police decided to question her, he said, adding that she had later resigned from the post. Earlier in the day, a court extended Kundra's police custody till July 27. He was arrested in the case on July 19. 

The arrest of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty's husband, businessman Raj Kundra is not the end of the alleged porn racket operating in Mumbai, as Mumbai police are believed to have found a wider network, involving many small production houses of the city. These houses were associated with the operation of hotshots, the now-deleted streaming application. Reports said Mumbai police recovered 70 videos which were shot by Kundra's former personal assistant Umesh Kamat with the help of different production houses. The police team has also found 90 videos which were exclusively meant for the Hotshots app. Now, these smaller production houses will also come under the scanner.

Ever since the news has emerged on the internet regarding the arrest of businessman Raj Kundra, Poonam Pandey, who confessed before the Mumbai Police team that she was brought into the adult film industry by him has once again made shocking revelation on Kundra.

Sharing more details about it, Poonam told media that she was forced to shoot in a particular way as per their will else they will leak her personal details on the app. 

She also revealed that she wasn’t in favour of signing the contract and so they threatened to sign it and when she refused to sign it, they leaked her personal mobile number along with a message which was, 'Call me now, I will strip for you.’  

Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra’s arrest in the pornography case has stunned Bollywood. The Mumbai Police said that Kundra was involved in the creation and publishing of pornographic content on apps. They have also urged other ‘victims’ in the case to come forward and register their complaints.

The Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Milind Bharambe, at a press conference on Tuesday also commented on Shilpa Shetty’s role in the pornography case. He said that they have not found ‘any active role’ of Shilpa in the case, however, the investigation is still on.

As per a news agency, Bharambe was quoted as saying, “We have not been able to any find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We’ll appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai. We’ll take appropriate action.”
